Federation of Lesotho Women Entreprenuers(FLWE)

About the federation:

The Federation of Lesotho Women Entrepreneurs (FLWE) was established in 2012 in Maseru and it expanded its reach to the districts. Its current membership size is 5000 people. FLWE is unique in the sense that, while the majority of the members are women, few youth and men have joined the association with full membership rights.

Organizationally, FLWE has district level chapters/members and has created many clusters distributed among the districts. Clusters are run by elected committees which are represented at district level (district committees). The organisational structure is such that each district committee is represented by one member at the National Executive Committee.

According to FLWE, the most important core value underpinning how it operates is based on unity, which is promoted through inclusivity at all levels (gender, age, and geography) as well as unity among its members.

The priority of the FLWE is to ensure that the entrepreneurial empowerment and skills development of women entrepreneurs in the country to operate economically viable and sustainable business enterprises is enhanced.
